Fresh Cherries

The color is what got me — deep, even red across every cherry with no pale spots, exactly the ripe look I wanted. They held up fine sitting out on the counter for a couple of days. Simple, classic, does the job.

The stems were still firm and the fruit arrived without a single bruise—they look almost too perfect to eat, like a still-life painting. I set the bowl on the counter and the glossy shine catches the light just beautifully.

The deep red color is exactly what you want when you're picturing ripe fruit, and the stems were still firm and fresh. I put them in a bowl on the counter and they look almost too pretty to eat, though I've already snacked on a handful.
